NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 gets ‘official’ US pricing

MicroCenter, one of the largest PC hardware retailers in the United States, has now confirmed pricing for the upcoming RTX 4080 series.

According to the listing of 13 custom models, prices for RTX 4080 will vary from $1,199.99 to $1,549.99. Unfortunately, with the majority of cards costing more than MSRP.

Unsurprisingly, custom RTX 40 cards from ASUS will remain the most expensive ones. We have seen this with the RTX 4090 launch and, clearly, the AD103-based model will be no exception. The ROG STRIX OC card will retail at $1,549.99, so $350 over MSRP.

The TUF Gaming series are the interesting ones because the factory-overclocked model will be $1499.99 card, while the non-OC model will cost $300 less (quite a gap!). We should remind our readers that NVIDIA ‘kindly requested’ that all board partners should have at least one model at MSRP available at launch. Therefore, this TUF non-OC card will probably end up just like previous ‘MSRP cards’ and will go out of stock fairly quickly.

MicroCenter pricing

  • ASUS ROG STRIX OC: $1,549.99
  • ASUS TUF OC: $1,499.99
  • ZOTAC AMP AIRO: $1,399.99
  • MSI SUPRIM X: $1,399.99
  • GIGABYTE AORUS MASTER: $1,349.99
  • MSI GAMING X TRIO: $1,324.99
  • MSI VENTUS 3X OC: $1,279.99
  • GIGABYTE GAMING OC: $1,269.99
  • GIGABYTE EAGLE OC: $1,239.99
  • PNY XLR8 VERTO: $1,199.99
  • ASUS TUF: $1,199.99
  • ZOTAC TRINITY: $1,199.99
  • GIGABYTE EAGLE: $1,199.99

Premium designs such as MSI SUPRIM X (pictured above) or Gigabyte AORUS Master will cost 150 to 200 USD more than MSRP. At least four models will be sold at $1,199.99 (NVIDIA MSRP), which is still far from a good price.

What is important to note is that none of these cards will be sold online. Users will have to buy them in physical stores. The launch of RTX 4080 is now set to November 16th, the 16GB model is the only one launching on this day.
