GeForce RTX 4070 in April
We have some exclusive information on RTX 4070 graphics card.
NVIDIA has just shared updated embargo information for the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 non-Ti model. The company did not provide any date as yet, but they informed board partners that the launch should happen in April. All embargo information is currently TBD (to be determined), but the ‘on-shelf’ aka the actual hard launch is to happen in April, without specifying which part of the month.

NVIDIA embargo information is provided on a frequent basis, but it is prone to changes. In fact, we have seen many embargoes that were completely changed, pushed back or even canceled. That said, there is a lot that can still change, so keep that in mind.
The RTX 4070 has seen numerous specs being mentioned over the past few months. The PG191 SKU 343 was mentioned by hardware leaker Kopite7kimi last month, as a new SKU for RTX 4070. This SKU was listed alongside 344 and 345, which are subvariants of the same card, as Kopite clarified today:
- PG141-SKU343 RTX 4070 Reference Edition AD104-250-A1
- PG141-SKU344 RTX 4070 Founders Edition AD104-250-A1
- PG141-SKU345 RTX 4070 Reference Edition AD104-251-A1
The RTX 4070 is expected to feature 5888 CUDA Cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. This model should basically be a cut-down RTX 4070 Ti with lower TDP (200W). Earlier plans have shown that NVIDIA wants to start mass production of the chips this month, so April seems to be within the typical launch schedule.
