Third DUAL design for RTX 3060 series

ASUS releases a new model based on the latest RTX 3060 Ti SKU.

The Dual OC is a dual-slot and dual-fan card based on updated RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory. It’s an entirely new design, a third in the generation of RTX 3060 Dual series.

The compact form factor did not stop ASUS from adding extra frequency to either of the two models released this week. The company has an OC model with clock speed going up to 1680 MHz out of the box and up to 1710 MHz with software overclocking. ASUS guarantees that the non-OC variant will support up to 1665 and 1695 MHz, respectively.

  • OC mode : 1695 MHz (Boost Clock)
  • Default mode : 1665 MHz (Boost Clock)

DUAL-RTX3060TI-O8GD6X

  • OC mode : 1710 MHz (Boost Clock)
  • Default mode : 1680 MHz (Boost Clock)

This is not the highest clock from all RTX 3060 Ti cards, though. ASUS offers up to 1785 MHz with their TUF and KO series, but only the former has been reintroduced with the GDDR6X memory.

The RTX 3060 Ti features GA104 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores. This model is equipped with faster 19 Gbps GDDR6X memory in comparison to the 14 Gbps GDDR6 SKU released in late 2020.

Size-wise, it sits in-between the Mini and old Dual design. We have included a comparison of all three cards below.

  • Dual Mini — 200 × 123 × 38 mm
  • Dual (New) — 230 × 120 × 42 mm
  • Dual (Old) — 269 × 136 × 52 mm

One should also mention that new DUAL design has four display connectors (3x DP + 1 x HDMI), so the same config as Mini. The original DUAL had an additional HDMI port, so 5 in total.
