Gigabyte RTX 4070 Ti AERO

In case there was any doubt of the upcoming RTX 4070 Ti launch, we have some very cool photos of one of these cards.

Unlike with the previous leaks showing renders, this card is a real thing – the actual RTX 4070 Ti from Gigabyte. These cards are now available to reviewers and should be shipping to retailers as we speak. The AERO is a triple-fan design with white color scheme. It is a spiritual successor to the Gigabyte Vision series.

This RTX 4070 Ti has one 16-pin power connector which is fed through a dual 8-pin adapter manufactured by NVIDIA. This is, in fact, a third variant of said adapter, with RTX 4080 featuring a 3×8-pin to 16-pin power adapter and RTX 4090 being the most power hungry of them all and requiring four standard 8-pin cables for the 600W “12VHWPR” adapter.

The RTX 4070 Ti AERO has a very short PCB, which means it only covers half of the card’s width. That said, a massive heatsink is exposed allowing a significant amount of air to be pushed through the cooler. Since this is a 2.5-slot design with three fans, we can expect this cooling solution to be very efficient.

NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti is to feature full AD104 GPU with 7680 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X memory and TDP of 285W. These are indeed the same specs as the ‘unlaunched’ RTX 4080 12GB card. The only question that remains is how much is it going to cost. The RTX 4070 Ti is now confirmed to appear at CES 2023 “Special Address” on January 3rd, with reviews coming a day later. However, the card is expected to go on sale on January 5th.

Many thanks to MrAERO for the photos!
