Toss a coin for Hellhound

A Special Edition of Radeon RX 7900 XTX Hellhound has just been pictured a bit more.

This is actually the first time we can see next-gen Hellhound GPU in real photos. PowerColor had actually reveled the Hellhound series 2 weeks ago, but those were all marketing materials. Photos posted by a Chinese reviewer may indicate that some custom cards have indeed been delivered to the press, hopefully on time.

PowerColor is preparing a special edition of their Hellhound model for Radeon RX 7900 XTX. From the looks of it, this might be the variant with ‘amethyst purple’ lighting that the company mentioned in their press release. The special edition comes with some interesting bundle, such as a PowerColor Hellhound coin. The reviewer is comparing it to AMD 50th Anniversary coin featuring Zen2 CPU die.

This model has dual 8-pin power connectors and has dual-BIOS switch. The first photo of the card installed clearly shows how thick this model is.

According to our information, the Special Edition is just for the initial shipment, possibly only for reviewers. It is also worth noting that today AMD lifts the embargo on Radeon RX 7900 XTX reviews, but it is not clear if there is a separate embargo on custom cards.
