As scheduled, Motorola has officially launched the Moto G22 in India. The smartphone had already gone official in select markets in early March. The phone comes with a refreshed design and offers a high refresh rate display, quad-camera setup, and a high-capacity battery.
Motorola Moto G22 Price and Availability in India
The Motorola Moto G22 arrives in a single 4GB + 64GB memory configuration in India. It is priced at ₹10,999. The device can be availed in either Cosmic Black or Iceberg Blue color options.
The handset will go on sale from April 13 (12 PM) via Flipkart. Customers can avail a ₹1,000 discount via ICICI Bank credit cards and credit card EMI transactions till April 14.
Motorola Moto G22 Specifications and Features
The Motorola Moto G22 sports a new design. The camera island on the rear is a rounded rectangle, while the cameras themselves are circular. However, one of these cameras and the LED flashlight are located inside a squircle module. Further, there’s a ‘Motorola Batwing’ logo at the center and the ‘motorola’ branding at the bottom.
The smartphone is built around a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+) and up to a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel has a centered punch-hole and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It boots near-stock Android 12 with Material You and My UX features. The company promises three years of security updates.
There’s a quad-camera setup on the phone’s back. The system includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP maco shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, on the front, the punch-hole nests a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
On the connectivity front, the handset offers dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
Other features of the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a single speaker, a notification LED, and a water-repellent coating. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging.
Last but not least, the Moto G22 measures 163.95 x 74.94 x 8.49mm in dimensions and weighs 185g.
