A Geekbench listing from last week revealed that Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A14 5G smartphone featuring a new mysterious mid-range Exynos chipset. Later, it was speculated that this could be called the Exynos 1330.

Now, the smartphone has appeared on Geekbench again, this time rocking a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G was identified as SM-A146P in the Geekbench benchmark database. The device will be powered by an octa-core processor with a 2 + 6 core configuration. This is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. For those who are unaware, the Dimensity 700 is manufactured on a 7nm process and includes an integrated Mali G57 GPU. This is the same processor that powers a number of mid-range smartphones, including the Oppo A58, POCO M4 5G, Redmi 11 Prime 5G, and others.

In the single-core round of the Geekbench 5 benchmark test, the upcoming entry-level A-series smartphone scored 522 points. In the multi-core round, the smartphone received 1710 points. The Geekbench listing for the device also reveals that it will have 4GB of RAM. We can anticipate Samsung releasing it in other memory configurations as well. According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G will ship with Android 13.

Comparing these results with the Exynos version, it is clear that the Dimensity variant will come as a more affordable version for certain markets.
