The Mavic 3 Classic has leaked again, DJI's next drone. Based on information provided by Roland Quandt and WinFuture, the Mavic 3 Classic should be cheaper than the regular model, but mainly because of an omitted feature. Meanwhile, DJI has now confirmed the date and time of its next hardware launch event.

Roland Quandt has detailed the Mavic 3 Classic, a drone that we last discussed earlier this month. Shared on WinFuture, Quandt has not only provided specifications about the upcoming drone, but has also leaked marketing images. According to Quandt, the Mavic 3 Classic will barely differ from the regular Mavic 3 and the Mavic 3 Cine.

However, the Mavic 3 Classic dispenses with its siblings' telephoto camera, a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor. Instead, the Classic model must make do with the Mavic 3's 4/3-inch CMOS and 20 MP primary camera. For reference, this camera will offer a 24 mm equivalent focal length, ISO 100-6400 sensitivity and 5.1K video capabilities at 50 FPS. Additionally, the Mavic 3 Classic should be capable of recording videos in 4K at 120 FPS, or 200 FPS if you drop down to 1080p.

Moreover, Quandt claims that the Mavic 3 Classic will match the battery life of the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine. In other words, the Mavic 3 Classic should last up to 46 minutes between flights. Incidentally, the drone achieves this while weighing 895 g, 5 g lighter than the Mavic 3. Presumably, the weight difference is only because of DJI's decision to remove the telephoto camera.

Elsewhere, the Mavic 3 Classic will launch with 8 GB of expandable storage and will provide an 8 km maximum flight distance with a 6,000-metre peak altitude above sea level. Currently, the Mavic 3 Classic is expected to launch for US$1,400, US$500 less than the regular Mavic 3. Although DJI has not confirmed the drone's launch price yet, it has teased that the drone will arrive on November 2 at 09:00 EDT (13:00 UTC).
